Hello!

 

I'm a writer of children's books, a history researcher, and a freelance publishing professional.

After I graduated with a master's degree in English Literature and Society (1688-1900) from the University of Edinburgh, I took a job in academic publishing. Since then, I've been an editor at a number of different organisations, done a second master's in Medieval Studies at the University of Leeds, and even taught English to high school students for a bit. Along the way, I discovered that there's nothing I like better than writing for young readers, and I've published a number of books published so far. Take a look here! 

 

I write primarily on my favourite subject, history, especially medieval and early modern history. But I'm always open to new and interesting projects in other areas!
